Institute for Global Women Leaders
We believe young women are the most underutilised and powerful assets the world has for social change.
The Institute for Global Women Leaders is an Australian based social enterprise with a mission is to support, connect and empower young women from around the world as agents for change. We believe young women are the most underutilised and powerful assets the world has for social change and are committed to making an unparalleled investment in their personal and leadership journeys.
We design and deliver fee-for-service and scholarship-funded global leadership and personal development programs for young women. We also undertake research into the leadership practices of young women who are running social purpose organisations.
One of our program offerings is heartworks – interactive leadership and personal development programs for young women.
Heartworks in schools is a two-year leadership and self discovery program delivered to senior school students over the course of years 11 and 12. The program equips students with the tools and resources they need to be active and responsible leaders of self, be of service to their community and to make positive life choices post-school. The program will focus on building their capacity to confidently navigate their transition from adolescence into early adulthood.
Heartworks in action is a 10-day transformative personal development and leadership program for young women delivered in Bali, Indonesia. Comprised of three core components, Travel, Leadership and Contribution participants are inspired to embark on a personal journey identifying their values and passions and forming a deeper connection to self. As part of the ‘Contribution’ aspect of the program, participants will have an opportunity to directly volunteer with our in country NGO partner.
